NUTRITION COUNSELING
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies to help you achieve your health goals. Our Dietitian, Cary Cuevas, uses a collaborative approach to nutrition counseling using evidence-based practices to help you take control of your health and wellness. Cary doesn't believe in a one size fits all approach to diet and lifestyle changes. Your action plan will be centered around what fits in your life and works for you.
In-person and virtual appointments are offered to meet your schedule needs. Our virtual nutrition counseling appointments are conducted using a HIPAA approved secure web-based platform. We partner with Aspire Total Fitness in Happy Valley, Oregon for our in-person sessions. To learn more about appointment options, schedule your complementary consult with our Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.

Your health insurance company isn't listed? No problem, we are able to provide you with a Superbill at no charge to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement of services paid for out-of-network nutrition services. Please consult with your insurance provider to find out if you have a qualifying medical condition, what Medical Nutrition Therapy or nutrition services you may submit reimbursement for, and the process for reimbursement. Payment for services is required in advance.

We also offer affordable out of pocket rates for individual sessions for both our in-person and virtual services. We do not offer packages as we believe in offering flexibility when scheduling and only want you to pay for sessions you intend to use. Everyone needs a different level of support and accountability. To support individual needs and budgets 30, 45, and 60 minute follow up appointments are available.

Schedule a free 25-minute consult to discuss your nutrition health care needs and payment options. To learn more about what to expect during the consultation call and working with HealthyU Nutrition follow the "What To Expect" Link.

WHY CHOOSE A REGISTERED DIETITIAN NUTRITIONIST
A Distinct Identity as Nutrition Experts
Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) are food and nutrition experts who have completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree at a US regionally accredited university or college and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Completed an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program at a health-care facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies. Typically, a practice program will run six to 12 months in length. Then, passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). For more information regarding the examination, refer to CDR’s website at www.cdrnet.org. RD/RDNs must also completed continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration. An advantage to seeing a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist is the ability to use health insurance to cover all or part of the cost of service. We currently accept Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon, PacificSource, Cigna, and United Healthcare. We also accept Medicare Part B and Oregon Health Plan for qualifying conditions. If you qualify for nutrition services but do not have coverage with one of our health insurance providers, we are able to provide you with a SuperBill to submit for reimbursement of your payment for services based on your health care plan. Contact your health insurance representative for details on what nutrition services your health care plan covers and out of pocket expenses. All Services must be paid for in advance.Follow the link below for a guide of questions to ask when speaking with your health insurance plan representative to determine what services you may qualify for and what your out of pocket expenses may be.
